Maria Vladimirovna Romanova is hyping herself in Crimea Aristocracy

Maria Vladimirovna Romanova, a daughter of the Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich and Duchess Leonida Georgievna Bagration-Mukhrani arrived to Crimea to make political statements together with Russian government officials.

Maria Vladimirovna Romanova is hyping herself in Crimea Aristocracy

This time Maria Vladimirovna said that Crimea should become a pearl of tourism: “The Crimea should preferably become a pearl for people from different countries to come for holiday. New resorts from the economical point of view will be important. There are a lot of ways to raise the region level due to tourism” – RIA news convey her words. Despite she said correct things which explain Russian interest in Crimea all the actions of Maria Vladimirovna look like new hyping. Particular mention is to be paid to illiteracy of Russian mass media of high level to specify Maria Vladimirovna and her son George, the Prince of Prussia. RIA called George as a “crown prince” that means the inheritor of the throne, and Maria Vladimirovna as a “grand duchess”. In fact Maria Vladimirovna has never had any opportunity to become an inheritor of Russian throne due to the fact that she is morganatic descendant of Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich. The son of Maria Vladimirovna George is also a son of the Prince Franz Wilhelm of Prussia. Patrilineally George has more chances for the German throne than for Russian. Upon his birth the Duke Vasili Aleksandrovich Romanov who was the Chairman of the  Romanov family Association then, has published the announce which said: “The happy event in Prussian royal house has no relation to Romanovs as the new-born Prince does not belong neither to Russian Imperial House nor to Romanov family”.

It should be pointed that Maria Vladimirovna got support from famous Crimean Prosecutor Natalia Poklonskaya who appeared on the “Immortal Regiment” action with the icon of the Emperor Nicholas II.

Not so long ago our journal informed about one false-duchess Olga Nikolaevna Kulikovskaya-Romanova who often visits Yekaterinburg despite of her old age. Now we can reasonably say  that historical illiteracy is peculiar not only to Sverdlovsk regional mass media but also to federal.
