80 schools in Great Britain allow boys wearing skirts
Sunday Times magazine reports that approximately 80 British schools will allow boys to wear skirts and girls to wear trousers giving them full freedom in clothes choice. Approximately 40 primary schools are among these schools.
It is informed that England introduced special program, details and authors of which are not disclosed. It became known that schools were offered to accept decree of free uniform. Some schools accepted it to help children who haven’t yet decided with what gender they identify themselves. That is why now boys can wear skirts or pinafore dresses and if they fell uncomfortable they can wear anything they want.
We will note that some Christian organizations categorically confront such innovation. Firstly, it contradicts religion prescripts. Secondly, it can embarrass children. As this rule appeared in primary schools also and there are children whose thinking and worldview continue to form.
The magazine points that the first school with such recommendation to the uniform became Allens Crofs School which is sure that each child has a right to express his gender individuality and can do it in any way.
