Authorities of Bavaria offered to include Mein Kampf in school curriculum
Bavarian parliament held a hearing regarding including of the Adolf Hitler’s book “Mein Kampf” in school curriculum. At this moment opinions divided and there were no decision made.
On the Parliament session there were two serious problems discussed on this case: is it worth to include scandalous book in school curriculum of the country and if yes, how teachers should present it to pupils.
Opinions divided in two sides. So some power’s representatives are sure that the book contains a lot of historic facts, in addition to it they are confirmed by historians’ commentaries. More than that after pupils read it they should form correct understanding of Nazism harmfulness. And representatives of Jewish community are sure that work of Adolf Hitler does not have anything useful and will start to develop hate to some aspects of life.
During 70 years Bavaria has officially owned all the rights for the book. It was forbidden for publishing a long ago and it was withdrawn from all sources. However in 2016 the deadline of prohibition expired and it was decided not only to put the work on sale but also to adapt it for modern reader. There were approximately 3700 commentaries of historians added that made the book a bestseller.
