Burial of of Tsarevich Alexei and Grand Duchess Maria remains are delayed until February
The Church’s recognition of the remains of the Imperial family were moved to the terms of the final decision. Instead of 18 October, when the burial was about to take place Prince Alexei and Grand Duchess Maria in the Peter and Paul Fortress in the family vault of the Romanovs, the commission for the disposal had postponed to February 2016.
The stumbling block of secular and religious authorities is a godsend 1991 Koptyaki road, as well as in 2007.
Initially, the commission headed by Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Prikhodko (from the government), and Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin (by the church) endorsed burial October 18. It’s the day of the angel of the murdered Tsarevich Alexis. However, later the Church required the exhumation and further examination of the remains of the Emperor Nikolai II, buried in the Peter and Paul Fortress. The results of genetic examination of the remains of the Romanovs, found in 2007, church authorities did not convinced. Thus, the burial of the remains postponed to February 2016.
Recall that in 2009 the remains of Prince Alexei and Grand Duchess Maria lied in the safe of the State Archive of the Russian Federation. Genetic testing is 99.9% confirmed their authenticity, but the Church does not recognize the results. The remains of the earth there is no one to betray and how they lie abandoned, which is not acceptable either from the church or from the human point of view.
