Detained Boris Mironov, a former press minister of the Russian Federation
In Moscow, was detained Boris Mironov, one of the founders of “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” journalist and writer, a former press minister of the Russian Federation (1993-1994). Mironov – a bright and consistent critic of the political regime of modern Russia, the course of the president and government.
As part of the preventive measures related to the search of extremist literature in Moscow on October 26 at his apartment it was detained Boris S. Mironov told Life News a law enforcement source.
Boris Mironov, a member of the Writers’ Union of Russia, adheres to nationalist views of open. Some of his publications are recognized as extremist by the court. This sees one of the reasons of detention – he keeps at home own literature deemed to extremist.
The reason for the detention may be that Mironov was preparing to hold mass protest actions in the framework of “Russian march”. In his own words, on the streets of Moscow it was planning to withdraw tens of thousands of people who are dissatisfied with the internal policy of the government. Mironov also in all his public appearances and meetings with readers paid attention to the current problems of Russia and called on the people to organize mass protests. In case the opposition will be held on November 4 in prison, planned activities will be disrupted.
