In Moscow metro Shakespeare’s train was launched
The media office of the British Council in Russia informs that on 24 May in Moscow on the Filevsky line the Shakespeare’s train begun running, it presents different works of the English playwriter with lots of other interesting details.
2016 is a Year of Language and Literature of Russia and Great Britain. More than that the whole world continues to celebrate by different actions the 400th anniversary of the William’s Shakespeare death. Both these events became an idea to launch such interactive train.
Creators decided to give people an opportunity to see famous works of Shakespeare: sometimes in their traditional ways and sometimes in modern interpretation. So icons and emoji managed to interpret King Lear, Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet. More than that anyone can upload the application or a book in the Fi-Wi zone and to make a photo. Organizers pointed that they have made different competitions related to this topic where people can win interesting prizes.
Such event in Moscow metro is taking place not for the first time. Those who travelled on the Filevsky line could read poems of Mayakovsky, Michail Lermontov and other Russian and foreign authors. We will point that any advertising is forbidden in trains of this type during such actions.
