Monument of Nicholas II was established in Belgrade
Monarch monument to Nicholas II is in the park in front of City Hall and near the Russian Centre of Science and Culture (the “Russian House”). The monument was erected on a pedestal with a crane, while the surrounding area is fenced and is contained in a proper condition.
Installation of the monument Serbia wants to give back to Nicholas II for his assistance to the country in the First World War.
Until now, in Belgrade, there were two places of memory of the last Russian Tsar. At the Belgrade New Cemetery in 1935, was erected a memorial to “Russian Glory”, on which is written: “Eternal Memory Emperor Nicholas II and two million Russian soldiers of the Great War.” In 2013, in the “Russian House” was a bust of Nicholas II.
