Prince Charles played in the sketch after “Hamlet”.
On the April 23rd, 2016 in Great Britain there was celebration of 400 years to the day after the great English play-writer William Shakespeare died. As a tribute to this event there was a concert on the stage in Stratford-upon-Avon. The culmination of the evening was appearance of the British throne inheritor Prince Charles.
World famous stars participated in this show and hundreds of spectators came to see them. There were such famous people as Benedict Cunberbatch, Judi Dench, Ian McKellen and others. All of them went to the stage one by one telling their own point of view of the way to pronounce the most popular and hallmark phrase of the Dutch prince “To be or not to be, that is the question” .
However the culmination of the discussion was appearance of the prince Charles on the stage, he demonstrated his variant of this phrase. Of course spectators were surprised to such turn-out. Everybody, including actors on the stage were amazed by the British throne inheritor’s play and acknowledged that his interpretation was the best one.
We will point that this event in the theatre was truly significant for the whole country. 368 cinemas of the Great Britain telecasted the performance of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. During the performance actors performed fragments from some plays of the famous English play-writer. For example “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “Much Ado about Nothing” and others.
Also it was informed that awesome performance must be shown in Russia also. The telecast of the performance was promised to be shown in Moscow and St-Petersburg cinemas.
