Alexander Alexandrovich Adlerberg (11 [23] July 1849, Riga – April 9, 1931, Zagreb) was a russian officer, a military leader, General. In 1906, in Kronstadt, when sentenced to death the men were digging their own graves, the commandant General Adlerberg uttered winged words:

“Dig, boys, dig! You wanted land, so here’s the earth, and will find in heaven.”
