The Emperor Nicholas II took part in the Immortal Regiment
Yesterday in Crimea there was the Victory Day celebration, it included lots of events and some of them supposed a large-scale participation of citizens of the city. So the march of the Immortal Regiment has not been without some curiosities. The Prosecutor of Crimea Natalia Poklonskaya took part in the march of the Immortal Regiment with the icon of the Emperor Nicholas II.
Many people pointed special veneration of the Royal family and His Majesty Emperor Nicholas II by Natalia Poklonskaya, however we, even being monarchists, were surprised that the Prosecutor took part in the event dedicated to died participants of the Great Patriotic War with the icon of Nicholas II.
After publication of Poklonskaya with the Emperor’s icon in electronic editions there were following commentaries of the readers: “Probably this is her relative who participated in the Great Patriotic War”.
In defense of Poklonskaya we can say that His Majesty Emperor Nicholas II took part in the First World or Second Patriotic War if we consider events of 1812 as a First Patriotic War. His Majesty was Supreme Commander of the Army of Russian Empire, he was at the front many times and inspected positions of Russian army himself. It commands respect that the Prosecutor of Crimea Natalia Poklonskaya relates to Royal Family with such honour. Our edition will continue to follow the activity of Poklonskaya and her outlook.
