The Pope expressed the desire to be friends with Georgia and its people
Pope Francis is a two-day visit to Tbilisi. There, he said he wanted to be friends with Georgia and said it was holy ground.
In just a few days of his stay in the country Pontiff had already visit a number of places, and I met with the country’s president and its prime minister.
During his speech Pope Francis expressed his gratitude for the hospitality, and also referred to the beauty of the Georgian nature.
Recall that the Pope arrived in Georgia at the invitation of the president and the patriarch.
