Vladimir Putin met with Serbian Prime Minister Vucic: showed record growth in turnover
Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Alexander Vucic, who is on a visit to Russia.They discussed issues of economic cooperation, summed up the growth of mutual trade turnover.
At the beginning of the conversation I would like to note that, despite all the difficulties that the world economy is going through, and we is not easy – after all trade with Serbia suddenly increases, and supply of Serbian agricultural products to the Russian market increased just 40 percent. This is a good indicator – said Vladimir Putin.
Shipments of agricultural products from Serbia to Russia rose against the Russian grocery antisanctions introduced in respect of the European Union, as a response to the economic sanctions imposed by the EU. Serbia has taken a principled position and refused the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions, allowing the import of goods from Serbia increased by 40%. Serbia is one of the few European countries which benefit from the reciprocal sanctions the EU and Russia.
