Nicholas II: the first public speech The Monarchist

In his first public speech of the Emperor Nicholas II said 120 years ago (October 31, 1894) referring to the Moscow nobility, merchants and representatives of Moscow and public institutions.

“Hard and painful for me to be in Moscow now, which is so truly loved My dear Father; but the Empress and I find the heart comfort in the prayers and the tears that all of Russia sheds in these days of trials. So help Me God to serve Our beloved homeland as he served her My late Father, and to lead it to the specified bright and radiant way”.
