Pope Francis took part in an ecumenical prayer in the Lutheran Cathedral of Lund in Sweden
On October 31 d Pope Francis arrived in the city of Malmo, which is located in the south of Sweden. It was his 17th foreign apostolic visit.
On that day, the head of the Roman Catholic Church took part in an ecumenical prayer in the Lutheran Cathedral of Lund, Sweden. He is one of the most ancient churches in Sweden.
In the Cathedral the Pope met the Secretary of the Lutheran World Federation (it was created in 1947 in Lund) Pastor Martin Junge. In his welcoming speech, he stressed the importance of relations between the two churches.
